What are the applicable fees?

For each transaction (purchase or sale), the stockbroker sends a “transaction notice”, a document that proves the order has been executed properly. It shows the number of securities that have been bought or sold, the price at which the order was executed, the commissions on security market transactions granted to the Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobilières (BRVM) and to the Central Depository/Settlement Bank (DC/BR), the brokerage fees payable to the brokerage firm, the taxes and net amount of the transaction.

The brokerage fees payable to the stockbroker are defined in the Brokerage firm (SGI)’s tariffs which are made available to any investor who opens an account, or when a change is made.

Each SGI is free to set its rates, but the fees charged by SGIs are approved by the Regional Council for Pubic Savings and Financial Markets (CREPMF), which is the Market’s supervisory authority.

The stock market transaction commissions payable to the BRVM and to the Central Depository/Settlement Bank (DC/BR) stand currently at 0.2% and 0.1% of the transaction amount payable by the Buyer and by the Vendor.
